Winter Break

NJMS will be closed from December 19-January 3rd for winter break.  School will resume on Monday, January 4th.

Early Dismissal - Friday December 18th

We will operate on an early dismissal schedule on Friday, 12/18.  Students will be dismissed at 12:30PM

Night Dance - Friday 12/11

There will be a night dance on Friday, December 11th from 7:00-10:00PM.  Admission is $5.  Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.

NJMS 7th and 8th grade band students set to march in local Christmas parades

7th and 8th grade band students will march in the Micro Christmas parade on Saturday December 12th. The parade starts at 4:00PM and participating students should wear blue jeans and a band tshirt.

NJMS Band to perform Christmas concert on Tuesday 12/8

The NJMS Band will perform their annual Christmas concert on Tuesday, December 8th.  The event will begin at 7:00PM in the gym. All grade levels will perform. Students participating in the concert should wear black and white.

PTA Meeting/Winter Concert

The next PTA meeting will be held on Monday, December 7th.  The chorus will also host their winter concert.  The event will begin at 7:00PM.

Character Ed Field Trip Set for Friday12/4

The monthly character education field trip to Golden Corral will take place on Friday, December 4th.

Afternoon Dance Set for Wednesday 11/18

There will be an afternoon dance Wednesday, November 18th after school.  The dance will last from 2:30-5:00. Admission is $5.

Progress Reports

Students will receive progress reports on Tuesday, November 17th.

NJMS Food Drive Going on Now!

Don't forget to bring in canned/boxed items for the NJMS Food Drive until Friday, November 13th!

Girls Tryouts:  2:30 - 4:30

Please pick up your child promptly after their tryout session has ended. Each student wanting to tryout must have an up to date physical and concussion form.

Yankee Candle Celebration

Students who earned rewards for selling items during our Yankee Candle Fundraiser will take part in a celebration set for Thursday, November 5th.

New NJMS Dedication Set for November 1st

The new North Johnston Middle School will be dedicated on Sunday, November 1, 2015.  The ceremony will begin at 3:00PM.

Picture Make Up Day

Fall picture make ups will be held on Thursday, November 5th.

Boys soccer team to play final home game at new NJMS field

The last home soccer game of the season will be held at the NEW school.  NJMS will host Meadow on Monday, 10/19.

Yankee Candle Fundraiser - Help our PTA!

Students received a packet on Monday, October 5th with lots of information about our annual Yankee Candle Fundraiser.  Yankee Candles make great gifts and don't forget...Christmas is just around the corner! Do your shopping with us and help raise money for our PTA!

The more students sell, the more prizes they can earn! Prizes include a DJ party with inflatables, a rock wall climb, cash, candy, a limo lunch cruise and lots more!

Football Game Cancelled for Thursday 10/1

The football game has been cancelled for Thursday, October 1st, due to rain. There will also be no practice for football and cheerleading.

Practice is still on for volleyball and soccer.

Volleyball & Soccer Games Cancelled for Monday 9/28

The volleyball and soccer teams will not play on Monday 9/28 (@ Benson) due to rain.  There will also be no practice scheduled for this afternoon for these two teams.  Players should come prepared on Tuesday to practice.

Spirit Wear Sale Extended

The PTA Spirit Wear sale has been extended until October 4th.  Please place all orders before this date.

Yankee Candle Fundraiser - Starts Monday, October 5th!

Our annual Yankee Candle Fundraiser will begin on Monday 10/5. Information packets and order forms will be sent home with students on this day.

Open House - Monday, September 21st

Open House will be held on Monday 9/21 @ 7:00. Please come out and visit the school to see what great things are happening @ NJMS!

Chromebook User Agreements and Technology Use Fee Contracts can be signed/paid for as well.

Eighth grade teachers will have a brief meeting with students and parents in the cafeteria immediately following the PTA meeting.

Appointment Times to Sign Chromebook User Agreement

If you missed your grade level's Parent Night, please call the office to set up a time to fill out the Chromebook User Agreement. The process takes about 20 minutes to complete. Morning and afternoon times are available during normal school hours.
