Parent Survey Information

The yearly parent survey will be sent home with students on Monday, February 22nd.  There is also an option to take the survey online.  Click here if you choose to take advantage of this option.

The survey will be open from 2/22 - 3/23 - Your opinion is valued!

Spring Pictures Scheduled for March 15th

Spring pictures will be taken on Tuesday, March 15th.  Information packets will be sent home with your student before picture day.

Battle of the Books Competition

The NJMS Battle of the Books team will compete in the county competition on Friday, February 26th.  The competition will take place at West Campus in Smithfield. Good luck Jaguars!

8th Grade Career Fair

There will be a Career Fair for 8th grade on Wednesday, February 24th from 7:15-10:15AM. Volunteers from various occupations will be at the school to show students what it's like to work in their respective job fields.

Spring Sports Tryout Information

Tryouts for the Spring sports season will be held on the week of February 22nd-26.  There will be NO tryouts on Wednesday, February 24th due to the Early Release day.  Tryouts will last from 2:30-5:00PM.

Students interested in participating must have a 69.5 overall average, cannot have missed more than 13 days during the first semester, and must have a current sports physical and concussion form signed.

Teen Panel to Visit NJMS on Thursday, February 18th

The Teen Panel will visit 7th graders at NJMS on Thursday, 2/18 from 8-10PM. Students must have a signed permission slip to attend the event.

NJMS Progress Reports to go home on Wednesday, February 17th

Students will receive progress reports on Wednesday, 2/17.

Teacher Workday Scheduled for Monday, February 15th

There will be no school for students on Monday, 2/15 due to a teacher workday.

Student/Staff/Parent Basketball Game Fundraiser

NJMS is hosting their annual fundraiser basketball game on Thursday, February 11th. The proceeds this year will go to the McIntosh family. Tracy McIntosh is a teacher here at NJMS and she recently found out that her 15 month old son Gavin has cancer.  The cost of the game is $2.00.  There will be a girls game and a boys game.  Please come out and watch as our faculty/staff/parents go up against our student athletes. There will be also concessions for sale at the game.
